For years, I have done my silver/gold transactions online via APMEX, SD Bullion, etc., because competitive online vendors usually pay top dollar and offer the best prices for preferred metals. However, Carolina S&G in Greensboro caught my eye the other day because of so many positive online reviews. After reading 150 or more reviews over two days, I finally had confidence enough to gather a large portion of my metals (rounds and bars) that I wanted to convert to cash and take off for their brick-and-mortar store in Greensboro to request an offer. Once there, I found their math was fast and accurate, and their offer, to my surprise, was nearly identical to what I would receive if I had taken the time to pack it all up and ship it to an online vendor via USPS. I was shocked that I was able to make my best deal in a local brick-and-mortar store; this is not typical. These guys are not running a pawn shop. They are competitive dealers offering the same money as the best dealers. In addition to what they paid me, I was surprised again when I found out they would sell me the same (or similar) rounds and bars at the best price I was getting online.I’ll add this important note. If I had shipped my metals to an online vendor, no matter how reputable the vendor, I would have been concerned for days whether my $8K package was being delivered as planned or being intercepted (lifted) by someone who recognized what was in that small, ridiculously heavy box. Not to mention, once delivered, I was at the mercy of a receivables rep who I could only hope would accurately declare the goods they had received (both quantity and quality). So, while I have always had good results with premium online vendors, there forever remains the risk of long delays or outright loss due to shipping errors or theft. Online transactions this size just can’t be uncoupled from a hefty dose of anxiety — and I have always hated it. NO MORE! If these guys in Greensboro continue to treat me like they did today, I’ll have no reason to look at other suppliers going forward. Well done, Carolina S&G. —Jerry

If you are from Martinsville or Danville or any kind of place near those location make the trip to this place of business. Super fast offers and you can't go wrong with them. I sold my gold here they gave me an offer and I was out of there within a literal minute. Best place I would definitely have to say within Virginia and North Carolina.
